Hi, my name is Tessa and I am a Trustee of Annabel’s Angels. I live with my fiancé Ben and my two daughters Isobel (aged 7) and Charlotte (aged 11). Ben’s son Ewan also stays with us most weekends so it can be a very busy and noisy household!
I have a hectic lifestyle juggling children and a full time job as a social worker, working for Derby City Council in adult social care. I have worked there for nearly 18 years and find it a very rewarding and fulfilling job supporting vulnerable adults by aiming to improve better outcomes for them.
Annabel was my best friend and I was involved with the charity from the start of its journey and adventure. I have seen the charity grow from strength to strength supporting individual and families living with cancer, raising funds to improve their quality of life.
My role in the team is being involved in the consideration of approving grant applications, attending regular team meetings and fundraising. I am currently training for the ten mile run which is one of my biggest challenges yet.
I am very proud to be part of a very committed and dedicated team and I look forward to the future in supporting more people.
